Terms and conditions

The agreement between you and us when you use this service.

Last updated: the version published on this page applies when you use UK Buying Agent.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”, “Customer”) and the operator of UK Buying Agent (“we”, “us”, “Company”). By creating an account, submitting an order, paying an invoice, or otherwise using our website and services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy policy, and our Returns and refunds policy (together, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use the service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity; “you” includes that entity.

1. Definitions

  • “Services” means buying-agent and personal-shopper services: we purchase Goods from Sellers at your instruction, receive them at our warehouse, consolidate/repack when helpful, and arrange international carriage to you. We do not provide a public warehouse address for you to ship your own parcels (package forwarding).
  • “Order” means a request you submit (including product links, descriptions, quantities, and delivery details) that we accept in our order system.
  • “Goods” means items purchased from third-party sellers at your instruction, not inventory owned by us for resale.
  • “Sellers” means third-party retailers, marketplaces, or private sellers from whom we procure Goods, typically in UK or as stated on your Order.
  • “Carriers” means courier, postal, freight, and logistics companies (including partners we name on the site or Order).

2. Our role — agent, not seller

We act as your agent and service provider, not as the merchant of record for Goods. Title to Goods passes from Sellers to you (or to us solely as bailee/forwarder for you) according to Seller terms and applicable law; we do not warrant that we hold legal title unless explicitly stated on an Order.

We are not the manufacturer, brand owner, or retailer of Goods. Product listings, images, specifications, and prices are controlled by Sellers. We do not independently verify every listing unless you purchase a separate paid verification service clearly described on your Order.

3. Account, eligibility & communications

You must provide accurate registration and Order information and keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction and legally able to enter contracts and import Goods into your destination country.

You consent to receive service-related communications electronically (email, Order page, messaging apps we publish on the site). You agree that electronic records satisfy any legal writing requirement where permitted by law.

4. Orders, your instructions & acceptance

An Order is an offer by you. We may accept, decline, or request changes (for example if a Seller is out of stock, an item is restricted, or information is incomplete). We write the price (totals and invoices) as a comment on your Order page before each payment stage (you do not need a separate “I approve” message unless we ask for written confirmation for a risky item).

Work is tracked on the Order page. Email may notify you when we comment; the Order page and its comments are the official record.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of product links, model numbers, sizes, colors, voltages, compatibility, quantity, and legality of Goods in your country. We execute purchases based on the information you provide. Errors in your instructions are not our responsibility.

Stated delivery times are estimates only. Seller dispatch times, consolidation choices, Carrier capacity, customs processing, and events outside our control affect timing.

5. Pricing, currency & payment

We write the USD price as a comment on your Order page before each payment stage (typically the first payment: items and our service fee; the second payment: international shipping after we weigh at our warehouse). A total can change if Seller price, weight or dimensions, fees, or optional services change — we tell you on the Order page before you pay that stage.

Currency conversion, bank fees, card fees, marketplace fees, and Seller price changes may affect the final amount payable. You agree to pay any shortfall we reasonably request to complete procurement or shipment.

Payment must be made using methods we approve. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method. Once payment for a stage is received and applied to your Order, that stage is final and non-cancellable except where we expressly agree in writing (which we are not obliged to do). See Section 6 and our Returns and refunds policy.

You agree not to initiate chargebacks, payment reversals, or similar disputes without first allowing us a reasonable period to respond on your Order page. Abusive or fraudulent payment disputes may result in account suspension and recovery of costs.

6. Cancellation & refunds (custom orders)

Before we purchase from the Seller: if you contact us promptly on the Order page, cancellation or refund may be possible at our discretion; we may deduct payment-processing or transfer fees.

After we start work on your Order (including after first-stage payment is received and applied): cancellation is limited. We may already have paid Sellers, incurred non-refundable fees, or allocated staff time. Cancellation is not permitted after you pay for a stage except where we expressly agree in writing on the Order.

After the Seller has shipped to our warehouse or after international dispatch: refunds are generally not available. See our Returns and refunds policy.

If a Seller allows cancellation before shipment, any refund from the Seller (if any) may be reduced by our costs, fees, and currency losses; we do not guarantee Seller cooperation.

7. Third-party Sellers, marketplaces & Carriers

Your purchase from Sellers may be subject to additional Seller or marketplace terms. Carriers impose their own terms, weight/size limits, and liability caps. We are not responsible for acts or omissions of Sellers, marketplaces, payment processors, or Carriers beyond what mandatory law requires of us as your agent.

Tracking numbers and delivery confirmations from Carriers are the primary evidence of handover to the international leg. Claims against Carriers must often be filed within short deadlines; you authorize us to assist in filing where practical, but you remain responsible for meeting Carrier claim rules unless we expressly undertake otherwise in writing on the Order.

8. Product quality, authenticity & no warranties

Goods are procured “as described by the Seller” and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of listings.

We do not guarantee authenticity, condition, safety certifications, software/firmware, accessories, batteries, warranties from manufacturers, or that Goods comply with standards in your country (electrical, labeling, RF, medical, food, etc.). You are responsible for determining suitability and legality before you order.

Counterfeits, refurbished goods sold as new, missing parts, and Seller fraud are risks of third-party commerce. Our optional inspection services (if any) are limited to what is described on the Order and do not convert into a product warranty.

9. Warehouse receipt, inspection & photography

When Goods arrive at our warehouse we may record outer packaging, labels, weight, and parcel count. Unless you order and pay for specific inner inspection, we do not open sealed manufacturer packaging or test electronics. Visual checks cannot detect all defects or inauthenticity.

Photos or videos we provide are for communication convenience only and may not show every angle or defect. Repackaging for international shipping may remove or replace retail packaging.

10. Consolidation, storage & unclaimed freight

We may combine multiple Orders before international shipment when it saves cost. 10 days free storage at our warehouse applies from when Goods are ready; you must tell us on your order page whether to ship or to extend storage. Extended storage: USD 5 per day, agreed and prepaid for the days you request.

If you do not communicate on the Order within the free period (after we try to reach you), we may add a final notice and then dispose of Goods. Silence is treated as abandonment. You remain liable for accrued service and storage fees.

11. International shipping, risk & customs

Carriage is arranged with third-party Carriers. Risk of loss or damage to Goods typically passes to you when Goods are handed to the Carrier for international export, or as stated on your Order or Carrier terms, whichever occurs first under applicable law.

We are not liable for loss, damage, delay, theft, partial delivery, misdelivery, destruction, temperature excursions, or non-delivery caused by Carriers, handling agents, airlines, ports, or customs authorities—including inspection, seizure, quarantine, or destruction at airports, borders, or security checkpoints.

Import and export compliance is your responsibility. You must pay all duties, taxes, VAT/GST, brokerage, storage, fines, and penalties in the destination (and any transit) country. You must provide accurate values and descriptions for customs declarations we prepare based on your information. We may refuse Orders that appear to violate sanctions, export controls, or Carrier rules.

Insurance, if any, is only provided when explicitly purchased and confirmed on your Order. Otherwise Goods ship uninsured.

12. Goodwill liaison with Sellers (no guarantee)

If you report a problem, we may, as a courtesy, contact Sellers or marketplaces to inquire about remedies (refund, partial refund, replacement, or return labels). This assistance is voluntary, goodwill only, and not part of the contracted Services. We do not guarantee any response, timeline, or outcome. Sellers may refuse returns once Goods leave their country or after short return windows expire.

Any remedy obtained from a Seller may be passed to you net of our costs and only via payment methods we reasonably support. We are not required to advance funds or accept Goods back into our warehouse except on terms we agree in writing.

13. Returns & refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns and refunds policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By paying an Order you acknowledge that policy, including that returns/refunds are generally prohibited for custom Orders and that you may owe advance fees if a rare Seller-approved return occurs.

14. Prohibited & restricted items

You may not use the Services for illegal goods or for items Carriers or law forbid (including but not limited to weapons, explosives, hazardous materials without proper licensing, narcotics, counterfeit goods, wildlife restrictions, and sanctioned parties or destinations). We may cancel Orders, refuse shipment, or report conduct to authorities as required by law.

15. Your indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, fines, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Goods you request or import; (b) your breach of these Terms or law; (c) inaccurate information you provide; (d) customs or regulatory violations in your country; or (e) your dispute with a Seller or Carrier, except to the extent finally determined to result from our gross negligence or willful misconduct where such limitation is not prohibited by law.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data; or cost of substitute goods or services.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to an Order or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (i) the service fees (commission) we charged you for that Order, or (ii) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
  • Multiple claims do not enlarge this cap. These limits apply whether liability is based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (such as fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by proven gross negligence).

17. Force majeure

We are not in breach if performance is delayed or prevented by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, government actions, epidemics, Carrier failures, Seller shutdowns, banking restrictions, sanctions, cyber incidents, or supply chain disruptions. Timeframes extend accordingly; you remain responsible for costs we cannot recover.

18. Privacy & intellectual property

Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy policy. Website content, branding, and systems are our intellectual property; you may not scrape, copy, or misuse them.

19. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for suspected fraud, abuse, sanctions risk, non-payment, or breach of these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive (payment obligations, indemnity, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Material changes apply to new Orders after posting unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance where permitted.

21. Disputes, governing law & venue

Contact us first on your Order page or at contact@globalbuyingagent.com so we can try to resolve concerns informally.

Except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we perform procurement and forwarding operations for UK Buying Agent (ordinarily associated with UK), without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another country’s laws.

You agree that courts in that same jurisdiction shall have exclusive venue for disputes we are permitted to bring there, subject to any non-waivable rights you have to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

22. General

  • Entire agreement: The Agreement supersedes prior understandings about the Services.
  • Severability: If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: We may assign these Terms with notice where required; you may not assign without our consent.
  • Language: These Terms are drafted in English. Translations are for convenience only.
