How your shipping price is calculated
After we pack your order, we weigh the box and measure it. Carriers look at two weights and charge you for the higher one. We call it your package weight.
Actual weight
What the box weighs on a scale.
Volumetric weight
How much space the box takes: length × width × height (cm) ÷ 5000.
Why both? Carriers sell space as well as weight. A big, light box blocks room that other parcels could use.
| Example | Box | Actual | Volumetric | You pay for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A pillow | 50 × 40 × 30 cm | 3 kg | 12 kg | 12 kg |
| A dumbbell | 30 × 20 × 15 cm | 8 kg | 1.8 kg | 8 kg |
Shipping cost = package weight × rate per kg or lb (we give you the rate before you pay)
Shipping FAQ
What changes my shipping price?
Four things: the package weight, your country, the type of items (liquids, batteries and fragile goods may need a specific carrier), and the carrier. Carrier rates also change over time.
Are customs duties and taxes included?
They might not be. Each country has its own import rules, so duties, taxes or import fees may apply when your parcel arrives. Check with your local customs office if you are unsure.
Why don't you publish shipping rates?
Rates depend on your country, the carrier and what you order, so one price list would be wrong for most customers. We give you your exact rate per kilogram and per pound before you pay.
Can you ship liquids, batteries or fragile items?
Sometimes. It depends on your country and the type of items. Place your order, and before you pay, we confirm whether your items can be shipped.
